Video Surveillance
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a film is worth a thousand pictures
Moving Images
This insight was redefined by us in the early eighties in a criminal context: With the help of globally unique “quadrant control devices” from the former successful company Eumig, with whom we maintained close contacts in their development department. Four cameras could be simultaneously connected to one screen for the first time. Entire hordes of shoplifters fell victim to this new technology. That’s ancient history now.
The Status Quo
Digital, in color, and ever smaller. Crime prevention and object security without video cameras would be unthinkable today (worldwide). There’s an overwhelming flood of all kinds of cameras of various origins for all sorts of purposes. The former insider knowledge about deployment and sensitive hiding places can now be accessed by anyone from the internet – especially potential wrongdoers.
It’s once again a great challenge to implement creative technical solutions, taking into account local conditions, lighting conditions, and the focus of the mission, so that ultimately, what’s needed for admissible evidence in court is obtained. Correct image sections from the right perspective in the best possible quality – all while adhering to the Data Protection Act 2000 (DSG 2000).
We also undertake the evaluation of image material, confront suspects with incriminating evidence, and, with their voluntary consent, prepare a written record (in cases of personnel theft). Whether to file a criminal complaint is decided by our client.
Whether it’s open or covert installation, indoor or outdoor, day or night, as well as (within the legal framework) remote transmission of live images. We also facilitate the purchase of complete systems and take care of maintenance. Knowing what brochures promise and products deliver – especially for how long. Save yourself from costly mistakes, hire professionals.
